In the Vic Roman Temple, we are shown the work of two Serbian artists, a painter and a sculptor in their early days. Milica Lukic and Miroslav Perkovic, who live in Valencia, where their work is permanently exhibited, are the authors of numerous artistic projects that combine painting, photography, video and sculpture. The works that we can see here belong to a project, very ambitious, that has been evolving for a whole decade: the one that goes from 1999 to the present moment. Cityproject, the name given to the project, is a real work in progress in transit through Paris, London or New York, among other cities. In different work sessions, the project is nourished by continuous theoretical and practical contributions that keep it in constant evolution. Influenced by a large part of the history of art and especially by the theoretical load achieved in sculpture workshops, they went to Madrid to participate in a workshop led by the British Richard Deacon, which will contribute to the diffusion of their work. Milica Lukic and Miroslav Perkovic are characterized by the production of austere, minimalist but extremely sensorial works. Geometric, metallic, with an industrial look but refined, the sculptural pieces, which dialogue in intimate contact with photography until they become functional units, manage to reference strange dimensions of time and space.

More information would probably be needed on the scope of the project, on the real context it embraces and also on the personality of the authors. Perhaps, however, this ignorance ultimately allows us to enjoy objects and their metaphysical dimension in a more free way.
